Fight Academy Coventry is a community-focused boxing and fitness gym based in Coventry, founded by Michael Green — a local coach, ex-pro boxer, and former British Kickboxing Champion – and his good friend local businessman and trained ABA coach, Chris Reid.

Fight Academy is a boxing gym that takes great pride in our young boxers, who represent all we teach and stand for. Our Teenage boxing classes and Kid’s boxing classes in Coventry are confidence-boosting classes for children aged 5+ and teenagers, with a focus on fitness, discipline, and fun — whether they want to compete or just enjoy the sport. Noone that attends out boxing classes have to spar if they don’t want to. Boxing is great fitness for youth. We believe boxing teaches good values and respect, and that is what we champion in our young stars.
As you can see below we have a custom grading system designed to help guide the learning of our students:
Introduction to boxing, learning basic stance and punches.
Focusing on straight punches, movement, and guard.
Developing balance, agility, and footwork patterns.
Learning basic punch combinations and defence.
Working on counters, slips, and reaction drills.
Working on how to approach working at various angles in the boxing ring.
Stance switching, inside/outside range control.
Ability to deliver a range of combinations.
Reading opponents, advanced drills, ring IQ
Fully rounded skill set, leadership, ready for competitive level.
